Las Terrenas at Samana once, 15 years ago, was an old fishermens village. There is still a part left at “Pueblo de perscadores”, a famous small street directly next to the beach. 15 years ago fishermen where living there with their families but no you will find here pitoresk restaurants and bar directly at the beach…
Every morning around 10 or 11 o’clock the fishermen still come in with their fresh fish. You can buy it directly at the beach… Take a look at Playa Las Ballenas, almost in front of the hotel from Antonio.
Its even possible to go on a fishing tour… deepsea fishing with professional equipment… A 35 ft catamaran with all comfort is waiting for you, also at Playa Las Ballenas…
